When a tree needs to come out
Most removals we quote fall into one of four groups: a tree that has died or is declining, a tree with a structural defect such as a split union or heavy lean, a tree causing damage to foundations, pipes or a neighbour's fence, and a tree that is healthy but blocking a build, a pool or a driveway. Each one is assessed differently, because a dead tree drops limbs unpredictably and a healthy one under tension can move in ways you do not expect.
We look at the species, the lean, the canopy weight, what sits underneath and how we can get equipment in. That assessment is what sets the method and the price.
Tight access is our everyday work
Plenty of north west blocks give us a single side path, a carport and a tree wedged between two roofs. For those jobs we climb and rig the tree down piece by piece, lowering sections on ropes rather than dropping them. Our compact tracked Först chipper fits through narrow gates, so branches are chipped at the back of the property instead of dragged through the house.
Where there is room to fell, we fell. Controlled felling is faster and cheaper, and we only use it when the drop zone is clear and safe.
Large trees and commercial removals
For development sites, commercial properties and multi-tree jobs we bring heavier machinery to move timber quickly and keep builders on schedule. We work alongside civil contractors, landscapers and pool builders who need a block cleared by a set date.
What happens to the timber
You choose. We can chip everything and take it away, leave the mulch on site for your garden beds, or cut rounds to length for firewood. Stumps are quoted separately so you only pay for grinding if you want it. See stump grinding.
