Tall hedges are where we earn our keep
Lillypillies, pittosporums, photinias, murrayas and conifers are planted for privacy and then left to grow. Once a hedge is taller than a ladder can safely reach, it needs elevated access, long-reach gear and a way to handle a lot of green waste. That is the work we are set up for.
Restoring an overgrown hedge
A hedge that has been left for years can usually be brought back. We reduce the height and width in stages, cutting back into older wood where the species tolerates it, so the hedge refills from the inside rather than staying bare. The before and after on our projects page shows a typical restoration.
Keeping it tidy
After a reduction, most hedges look their best with two to four trims a year. We can book regular visits so you are not chasing it every spring. Species such as cypress do not reshoot from bare wood, so we trim those more lightly and more often.
